# Stuffygram Terms of ServiceEffective Date: April 2026
Last Updated: April 2026Welcome to Stuffygram. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stuffygram application ("App," "Service," or "Stuffygram"). By creating an account or using Stuffygram, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.---## 1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility### Age RequirementYou must be 18 years of age or older to create a Stuffygram account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.### Parental and Guardian AccountsStuffygram is designed for adults to manage on behalf of their children. As an account holder, you:- Are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Are responsible for supervising your child's use of the App.
- Acknowledge that you control who your child connects with through the buddy invite system.
- May delete the account and all associated data at any time.If you allow a child to use your account, you accept responsibility for their compliance with these Terms.---## 2. Your Account### Creating an AccountAccounts are created using a valid email address. We use passwordless authentication via one-time passcodes (OTP) sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account.### Account SecurityYou are responsible for keeping your device and account secure. You should not share your login credentials or allow unauthorized individuals to access your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.### One Account Per PersonEach individual may maintain one Stuffygram account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or for deceptive purposes is prohibited.---## 3. Acceptable Use### What You May Do- Share photos of stuffed animals and plush toys.
- Create a profile with a display name, bio, and avatar.
- Connect with other users through the buddy invite system.
- React to posts using the provided emoji reactions.
- Send pre-written positive messages on posts.
- Use the built-in photo editing tools (drawing, stickers, filters, background removal).### What You May Not DoYou agree not to:- Upload photos containing inappropriate, harmful, violent, or explicit content.
- Upload photos of real people's faces, especially children's faces, without the consent of the depicted individual or their parent/guardian.
- Use the App to harass, bully, or harm other users.
- Attempt to circumvent the age verification or parental acknowledgment requirements.
- Create accounts on behalf of children without being their parent or legal guardian.
- Use the App for any commercial, advertising, or solicitation purposes.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to interact with the Service.
- Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.---## 4. Content and Intellectual Property### Your ContentYou retain ownership of the photos, captions, and other content you upload to Stuffygram ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant Stuffygram a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your approved buddies.This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account.### Our ContentThe Stuffygram name, logo, design, and built-in features (including sticker packs, pre-written messages, and emoji reactions) are the property of Stuffygram. You may not use our branding or intellectual property without written permission.### Content ModerationWe reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms. However, Stuffygram does not actively monitor or review all user-uploaded content. Parents and guardians are responsible for overseeing the content shared through accounts they manage.---## 5. Buddy Connections- All buddy connections require mutual consent. A buddy request must be sent by one user and accepted by another using a personal invite code.
- You may remove a buddy connection at any time.
- You may block another user, which removes the buddy connection and prevents future contact.
- The buddy invite code system is designed to give account holders (parents/guardians) control over who can interact with their account.---## 6. Communication Between UsersStuffygram intentionally limits communication between users to protect children:- Reactions are limited to a fixed set of 6 emoji options.
- Messages are limited to a fixed set of 10 pre-written positive phrases.
- There is no free-text messaging, chat, or direct communication between users.
- There are no comments with custom text.These limitations are a core safety feature of the Service and will not be removed.---## 7. PrivacyYour use of Stuffygram is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.---## 8. Account DeletionYou may permanently delete your account at any time from within the App via Edit Profile > Delete Account. Account deletion is irreversible and removes all data associated with your account, including:- Profile information
- All posts and photos
- All registered stuffies and their photos
- All reactions and messages
- All buddy connections
- All stored image filesIf you are a parent or guardian and wish to delete an account you manage, you may do so through this same process.---## 9. TerminationWe reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:- You violate these Terms of Service.
- You misrepresent your age or eligibility.
- You upload prohibited content.
- Your use of the Service poses a safety risk to other users.We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases involving safety concerns or legal requirements.---## 10. DisclaimersStuffygram is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- Content uploaded by other users will be appropriate or accurate.
- The Service will meet your specific requirements.Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children's use of the App and determining whether it is appropriate for their family.---## 11. Limitation of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by law, Stuffygram shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:- Your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Content uploaded by other users.
- Unauthorized access to your account.
- Any other matter relating to the Service.---## 12. IndemnificationYou agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stuffygram and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Content you upload to the Service.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.---## 13. Changes to These TermsWe may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of Stuffygram after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.---## 14. Governing LawThese Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Last Updated: April 2026Stuffygram ("we," "us," or "our") is a social photo-sharing application for stuffed animal enthusiasts. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Stuffygram. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially children, and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).---## 1. Who Can Use StuffygramStuffygram accounts may only be created by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. The app is designed so that a parent or guardian creates and manages an account on behalf of their child. Children under 18 may not create their own accounts.Before creating an account, users must verify their age through a date-of-birth check. Upon first login, account holders must acknowledge that they are the responsible adult managing the account.---## 2. Information We Collect### Information You Provide- Email address — Used solely for passwordless login via one-time passcode (OTP). We do not send marketing emails.
- Display name — A username you choose, visible to other users.
- Bio — An optional text description on your profile.
- Profile photo — An optional avatar image.
- Photos of stuffed animals — Images you upload of your stuffies and in your posts.
- Captions — Text you add to posts.
- Stuffy names — Names you give to your registered stuffies.
- Buddy connections — When you send or accept buddy requests.
- Reactions and messages — Selected from a fixed set of emoji reactions (6 options) and pre-written positive messages (10 options). There is no free-text messaging between users.### Information Collected Automatically- Account timestamps — When your account was created, last updated, and when you acknowledged the parental responsibility agreement.
- Session tokens — Stored securely on your device for authentication.### Information We Deliberately Do Not Collect- Date of birth — The age check is performed on your device only. Your birth date is never transmitted to our servers or stored.
- Location data — All GPS and location metadata is stripped from photos before upload.
- Device information — We do not collect your device model, operating system version, advertising identifiers, or hardware identifiers.
- Analytics or tracking data — We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
- Contacts — We do not access your device contacts.---## 3. How We Use Your InformationWe use the information we collect to:- Authenticate your account via email one-time passcodes.
- Display your profile and content to your approved buddies.
- Enable you to share photos, reactions, and pre-written messages with buddies.
- Manage buddy connections through invite codes.
- Enforce age restrictions and parental acknowledgment (COPPA compliance).We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the Stuffygram service.---## 4. How Information Is Shared### With Other Users- Your display name, bio, and profile photo are visible to authenticated Stuffygram users.
- Your posts, stuffies, reactions, and messages are visible to your approved buddies.
- Your email address may be used by other users to send you a buddy request. You must approve all buddy connections using a personal invite code.### With Third Parties- Supabase — We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider for authentication, database, and file storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is subject to their own privacy policy. Supabase may log request IP addresses and timestamps for infrastructure and abuse-prevention purposes.
- We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to any other third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.---## 5. Photo Privacy and MetadataAll photos uploaded to Stuffygram are processed on your device before transmission:- Images are resized to a maximum of 1200 pixels on the longest side.
- All metadata is stripped, including EXIF data (camera information, timestamps), GPS data (location coordinates), TIFF data (device make and model), and IPTC data (creator information).
- Photos are compressed and stored as JPEG files in private storage buckets accessible only to authenticated users.On-device image features such as background removal use Apple's Vision framework and process entirely on your device. No image data is sent to external AI services.---## 6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)Stuffygram is designed with children's safety as a priority:- Adult account holders only — Only individuals 18 or older may create accounts. Children use the app under the supervision and account of their parent or guardian.
- No free-text communication — Users may only send reactions from a fixed set of 6 emoji options and select from 10 pre-written positive messages. There is no open chat, direct messaging, or free-text communication between users.
- Controlled connections — All buddy connections require mutual approval through a personal invite code, giving the adult account holder control over who can interact with the account.
- No tracking or advertising — We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or behavioral tracking of any kind.
- Metadata stripping — Location and device information are removed from all uploaded photos.
- Full data deletion — Account holders can permanently delete all account data at any time from within the app (see Section 9).We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All data is collected through and managed by the adult account holder.---## 7. Data Storage and Security- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain (hardware-encrypted).
- Database access is protected by row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data and their buddies' shared content.
- Photos are stored in private storage buckets requiring authenticated access.
- Images are cached on-device in the app's temporary cache directory and are cleared on logout.---## 8. Data RetentionWe retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed (see Section 9).We do not retain data for inactive accounts beyond the lifetime of the account itself.---## 9. Your Rights — Accessing and Deleting Your DataAs an account holder, you have the right to:- Access your data — Your profile, posts, stuffies, and buddy connections are visible within the app at all times.
- Update your data — You can edit your display name, bio, and profile photo from the Edit Profile screen.
- Delete all your data — You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Edit Profile screen by tapping "Delete Account." This action is irreversible and removes:
- Your profile information (display name, bio, email, avatar)
- All your posts and their associated photos
- All your registered stuffies and their photos
- All reactions and messages you have sent
- All buddy connections and pending invites
- All stored image files across all storage bucketsIf you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to Stuffygram without your consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete the information.---## 10. Device PermissionsStuffygram requests the following device permissions, only when you initiate the relevant action:- Camera — To take photos of your stuffies. Accessed only when you tap "Take Photo."
- Photo Library — To select existing photos. Accessed only when you tap "Choose from Library."These permissions are optional. You can use Stuffygram without granting either permission, though you will not be able to upload photos.---## 11. Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Stuffygram after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.---## 12.
